Aoi Wakakusa (若草 あおい Wakakusa Aoi) is a first-year university student taking up Literature and the trombonist of the band Fujin RIZING!.
Background[]
The straight man of the group in charge of taking care of its noisy members. In particular, he's been looking after his childhood friends; Futa Kaminoshima and Misaki Goto, oftentimes scolding them, for many arduous years. In reality, he's actually a cry baby who succumbs to loneliness but, oftentimes, refuses to say it outright. He was adopted, and he's very close with his adoptive parents. His adoration to classical music comes from them. Since he took piano lessons before, you would often see and hear him play the keyboard in some songs.

In the voice drama, 「レゾンデートル-啼泣の謌-」(lit. "Raison d'être -Song of Crying-"), Aoi is revealed to be Shu Ujigawa's older half-brother, and the successor to Duck River.
Etymology[]
- The name Aoi, depending on the kanji writing, means "hollyhock" (あおい).
- Aoi's surname Wakakusa means "young, immature" (若) (waka) and "grass" (草) (kusa).
Trivia[]
- Aoi is in the same Faculty of Literature with Yuto Goryo, Wataru Matoba, Reon Misono, Futa Kaminoshima and Yamato Tsubaki after transferring to Kamogawa Music College [1].
